A tale of creating awesomazing software

We start updating the application to support newer versions of PHP and MySQL while we keep enhancing the workflow and business map systems and creating a better developer and implementor experience.

While reviewing all the changes that happen this month two ideas kept coming to my mind: we are creating something important here and we definitely were not on vacation that August :-)

Various new features in usability, configuration, and functionality along with a very useful scheduled task watcher make for another incredibly productive month.

The effort we have been making during the last year's is starting to take effect as it gets easier to use the system as a development platform and an end user application. It just gets easier and easier for us to add functionality for both use cases.

This month coreBOS gets a plethora of new functionality and configuration potential as we start leveraging the power of business maps and continue to use the flexibility of global variables, and all that without stopping to stomp bugs and clean up the code base.

During the last few weeks, coreBOS has seen some new developers arrive to the project and some long time adept start collaborating more frequently so I thought it was time to set in writing the rules and guidelines we try to follow in this project. This idea has been floating around my head for a long time as I dedicate a lot of time to formatting and validating code changes and pull requests for the project. I strongly recommend that all developers that wish to help out read these guidelines and try to adhere to them as much as possible, but don't worry, I'll still be here to impose them :-)
